How2 Remove Pencil marks from Walls

So you have children. And you have pencil markings on your wall, or maybe crayon marks too! Well say no more. Been there, seen that huh. This is what I found useful..

I have matt finish painted walls – I used a pencil eraser and very gently tried to rub off the pencil and crayon marks. They didn’t go away but at least got lighter.

If you have wallpaper on your walls – you can use a soft eraser to rub away the marks in small movements. Any remaining marks can be removed with cold water on a sponge wiped in gentle overlapping swipes. Then gently pat the wallpaper dry.

Some other tips I have heard or read are..

  • Rub a paste of baking powder and water on a painted wall to remove pencil marks.
  • Apply a drop of toothpaste to a clean cloth. Rub the pencil marks with the toothpasted cloth. Continue rubbing until the marks are no longer visible. Rinse the wall with a damp cloth.
