How2 Make immune-boosting Chicken Soup

This is a very good age old, time tested traditional remedy and; nourishing and tasty too.


500g Chicken with bones/chicken wings

3 large onions
1 large sweet potato
1 turnips
3 large carrots
5-6 celery stems
1 bunch of parsley
Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Clean the chicken, put it in a large pot, and cover it with cold water. Bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add onions, sweet potato, turnips and carrots. Boil about 1.5 hours.
  3. Remove fat from the surface as it accumulates.
  4. Add the parsley and celery. Cook the mixture about 45 minutes longer.
  5. Remove the chicken and separate the bones.
  6. Put the vegetables and some of the boneless chicken in a food processor until they are chopped fine.
  7. Return to pot containing the stock and simmer.
  8. Serve hot with salt and pepper.
